The Peer Support programme provides new or potential amputees with the opportunity to talk to a fellow amputee who has overcome a similar disability.

Peer supporters are trained to listen and offer support and advice about available services, but they do not provide a counselling service. Amputee peer supporters are available pre and post-surgery and they encourage new amputees to seek further professional assistance if required.

For further information, please contact the Community Services Coordinator on amps@slfwa.org.au or (08) 9381 0141.
